About the Photographer

Me
My name is Noelle Brooks.
I am a unique individual, but of course everyone is, though, isn’t he? But I feel one thing that sets me apart from the rest is my vast array of talents and hobbies. I’m interested in just about anything that has to do with creativity, expression, and the visual arts. I am an artist.
I love to write. I keep a blog and write random thoughts that come to my mind, complex essays and analyzing works, and creative, fictional stories. I love to express myself and allow others to get to know me better, especially through the written word, as I am quite introverted and speaking is not always my strong point. Writing allows me to speak and allows me to dream. Through writing, I can explore worlds and allow others to see what I’ve experienced. I can create characters and give them hearts and souls to the point where I love them just as much as I love my dog, Sandy. Through writing, I can allow my mind to share, think, and play.
I love to draw. I am a true artist who explores every medium, traditional and digital. I aspire to become a high school art teacher and continue to practice my drawing and anatomy skills. I specialize in Prismacolor colored pencils and Adobe Photoshop CS5 and I tend to draw my own fictional, animal characters and other animals. I draw for school, I draw for work, and I draw for fun. Art is my life.
I love to web design. Ever since I could write an e-mail, I’ve been messing with the inner codes of the Internet. I’ve been creating my own webpages, websites, and blogs since middle school and have become skilled in HTML and CSS. Using my web talents, I can showcase my writings, my characters, my art, and my photographs.
I love to take pictures. I am only a simple hobby photographer, but I take my camera everywhere. I have never taken a photography class, so I don’t know much about photography, but I learn what I can from fiddling with my camera. I’m still figuring out what all the buttons and dials do. But I have a passion for photography, just as I have a passion for anything visual. I am fascinated by how the camera can change one’s point of view, bring something into focus, simplify something complex, or complicate something that’s simple. With the simple click of a button, the machine goes to work and within a split-second an image is created in full color and in full glory. It’s amazing how it all works and it’s amazing how such an easy process can become so time-consuming, so frustrating, and so addictive.
